Lhadron: good life comes from hard work

Lhadron comes from Qangtang Village, Qangtang Town, Gonggar County, Shannan City, southwest China‘’s Tibet Autonomous Region. Through hard work, she get out of poverty.

There are 6 people in Lhadron's family, two of whom are at school. The family's main source of income is the farmland and the meager income of her husband Sonam, who is a migrant worker.

In 2009, due to a sudden accident, Sonam lost the feeling in his legs and was paralyzed in bed. From then on, Lhadron shouldered the family responsibility.

In 2015, Lhadron's family was identified as registered poor household, enjoying a lot of preferential policies. Sonam's medical expenses were reimbursed, children's school fees were waived, and the family gradually saw hope.

"It's not a long-term solution to just enjoy policies and not work hard to get rid of poverty." In order to really get rid of poverty, unyielding Lhadron thought about to learn a craft, relying on hard work to create a better life.

In 2016, a poverty alleviation cooking skill training class was opened in Gonggar County. Lhadron thought it was a good opportunity and took part in at once.

After 30 days of theoretical study and skill practice, Lhadron learned the cooking methods of more than 20 dishes. After returning to the village, with the help of the village cadres, she opened the "Qangtang Yamdrok Tibetan Restaurant" with a loan of 50,000 yuan RMB from the Agricultural Bank of China through the targeted poverty alleviation micro-credit policy.

Relying on the rich dishes and delicious taste, Lhadron's restaurant was praised by customers, and the business was getting better and better. It only took her a year to pay off the loan.

In 2017, the average annual income of Lhadron's family reached 5,404.77 yuan RMB. In 2018, her family was lifted out poverty.

Now, Lhadron is still struggling on the road to happiness and prosperity. She often says that good life comes from hard work, and her story is inspiring more and more people to take the path of self-reliance and independence.
