Seguola Village is located in Mainri Town of Bayi District, Nyingchi City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Though enjoying proper moisture and beautiful scenery, Seguola Village is seldom visited by tourists due to poor transportation. The villagers mainly rely on farming and gathering forest resources to live.

In recent years, Nyingchi City makes great efforts to develop tourism industry, and encourages villages to identify local tourism characteristics so as to develop rural tourism. With the completion of the Lhasa-Nyingchi High-grade Highway and the opening of the Nyingchi Airport, more and more tourists begin to travel to Nyingchi.

Seguola Village motivates villagers to beautify the environment by planting peach and willow trees around their own houses, employs tourism professionals to guide and formulate tourism development plans, and encourages capable villagers to operate family hotels, restaurants and sell local specialties.

Now 172 people from 36 households in Seguola Village gradually engage in tourism industry. There are not only family hotels but also shops, orchards, boats as well as a wool fabric processing plant in the village. Incomes of villagers are increasing and lives are becoming better and better.

With beautiful scenery, tidiness as well as wide and flat concrete roads, Seguola Village attracts more and more tourists.

"Thanks to tourism, Seguola is the first village in Mainri Town to get out of poverty," says Qiao Tsering, secretary of the party committee of Mainri Town.
