Photo shows the working sketch of the world's highest altitude ring road.[Photo/CCTV] World's highest altitude ring road will be completed in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Lhasa is at an altitude of 3,650 meters. With a total length of about 100 kilometers, the ring road has seven tunnels and 27 bridges. It will link Lhasa-Nyingchi High Grade Highway, Lhasa-Gonggar Airport Special Highway, Lhasa-Shigatse High Grade Highway and Lhasa-Nagqu High Grade Highway. The ring road is designed as an expressway not a highway, with a speed limit of 60 km/hour. It will take less than two hours to go around Lhasa City.
