Cultural industry development lifts poor people out of poverty

Xigaze City of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, vigorously implemented a project of "alleviating poverty through cultural industry development" in this year, and led over 100 cultural industry companies to pairing help 935 impoverished households. Over 7 million yuan RMB has been invested, helping 1,580 poor people get jobs. Total income of these employed poor people increased 39 million yuan RMB, greatly enhancing their confidence and determinations to get rid of poverty and become rich.

Jamyang, an impoverished resident from Sagya County of Xigaze City, is learning Thangka Painting in a handicraft industry entrepreneurial base in Sagya County this year, and receives a monthly subsidy of 3,000 yuan RMB.
