In recent years, with the boom of innovation and startups in Lhasa City, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, more and more rural migrant workers return to hometown to start business. Thubten Gonpo from Tanggya of Lhasa's Medrogungkar County, has invested 1.4 million yuan RMB into a local cooperative of green agricultural and livestock products. The cooperative focuses on Tibetan chicken breeding and art crafts production. Its sales income has exceeded 600,000 yuan RMB last year. It also created working opportunities for local poor people and helped them get rid of poverty.
