Yendum Tibetan opera of Qamdo's Chagyab County, is one of the famous "blue mask genre" of Tibetan opera. The operais close to people's life at its performance, costumes, props, dialogues, songs, dances as well as melody. Yendum Tibetan opera has been approved as a county-level intangible cultural heritage by the people's government of Chagyab County in 2009 and as a regional level intangible cultural heritage by the people's government of Tibet Autonomous Region in October 2010. Nowadays, Chagyab's Yendum Tibetan opera has been well protected, inherited and developed.
