| Biru county and Amdo county in Nagqu Prefecture in northern Tibet recently and has been deeply impressed. As the capital of Nagqu Prefecture, the Nagqu town in Nagqu county has developed with surprising speed and former low houses have been replaced by high buildings. It is a busy town with enough modern facilities such as banks, restaurants and hotels. Located in the canyon of Nongjiang River, the Biru county boasts both modern life and ancient religious culture. As the "throat" of northern Tibet, the Amdo county with an altitude of 4,800 meters is the first county to reach when Qinghai-Tibet Railway and Qinghai-Tibet Highway arrive in Tibet after crossing Tanggula Mountain.
