Emilien from France.
"I like Lhasa, especially its blue sky, white clouds and sunshine. I can ride to every place in this city, which is like my hometown, Annecy in France," said Emilien, a Frenchman who came to China for his Chinese wife. As his wife favors Chinese watermelons, he got a nickname "Chinese Watermelon" though he doesn't know what it means at all.
Emilien and his wife have been staying in Lhasa for half a year as his wife worked here. During that period, he often walked or rode to many remote but beautiful places. And also he enjoyed sweet tea, mountains, the customs and the local people's friendliness in Tibet.
Had thought that Lhasa as a mysterious holy city, Emilien found that it is a modern city as well with many advanced equipments. Qinghai-Tibet Railway, the solar-energy system in Yanghu village and the geothermal power station in Yangbajain impressed him deeply.
Emilien has a dream: to set up a counseling company for tourists from abroad in Tibet. Now he has moved to Shanghai because his wife changed her job to Shanghai, but he expects to come to Lhasa again one day to make his dream come true.
