Picture shows an old man in Tapa Village, Kunggar Township, Maizhokunggar County, Lhasa, capital of Tibet, making pottery intently. Ceramic skill with over 1,000-year history was created by Jibaxi Dorje, a famous ceramic craft man in Maizhokunggar. Now it has been the treasure of local herdsmen and brought benefit for them. The pottery made in Naizhokunggar is famous in Tibet for its non-corrodibility, heat retaining and ethnic style. The skill was listed the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in Tibet in 2006. |
